Mirror Tool for scanning from your Iphone or Ipad (AnatoMask Project)
Description
The mirror tool allows you to perform a 3D scan of an object or a third person using a dedicated mobile application, from the front depth camera of your iPhone (X or newer version) or your Ipad Pro. The tool is printed in 3D from two open-source STL file : the first one containing the central part of the tool and the second one containing the clamping screw. The file named "large grip" is dedicated for Ipad while the file, "short grip" is for iPhone. The recommended filament is a 0.16mm PLA. To start using the tool, it is necessary to add a mirror. Two solutions are available: A) Buy an optical mirror from Edmund (19€) https://www.edmundoptics.fr/p/30-x-40mm-4-6lambda-mirror/1881/ 30x40 mm and 3.20 mm thick B) Cut out your own mirror 30x40 mm but you may not get the same result. Assembly : The mirror is inserted into the main part's rail. 1) Center the object on the top of the phone or tablet with the mirror facing the front camera. 2) Using the screw, tighten the mirror tool on the phone or tablet.
