Dewalt Drill/Impact Driver Bit Holder
Description
EDIT 12/19/2021: Here's a link to the design file. I used OnShape to model it. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/46a8c2f191f95e16eb995574/w/dff22c5491b5854e62fb5794/e/b9838d6413fdcc166d9f040a?renderMode=0&uiState=61bfe75f40dde2082f062cb8 Original post: This 1/4" Hex bit holder is attached to the opposite side of the drill or impact driver than the belt clip. This device fits a Dewalt DCF887 impact driver and DCD996 hammer drill. I'm sure it would fit most Dewalt 20v MAX drills/impact drivers. I wanted the bits to be held magnetically since a friction fit will wear over time. The long bits can be slid in from the front, while the shorter ones can be stuck in from the side. With the magnets in place, I was able to shake the impact driver around pretty violently and neither bit fell out. If you drop it from a significant height, they will probably come loose. I included a Left and Right handed version. The one shown in the pictures is the right version. Print without supports. I included little 0.5mm tabs where supports would have been needed. Just rip those away with needlenose pliers when it's done printing. Hardware required 4x - 6mm x 2mm circular neo magnets 1x - M3 x 10mm screw
