Antarctic Penguins Color Photograph lamp skirt theme for Tin Lamp
Description
This "Antarctic penguins" lamp skirt pattern printed in an "äktakulör" color scheme is an addition to the Tin Lamp: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4267962 It is printed using transparent PETG using a special color scheme in order to both mimic the real photo and still be printable in reasonable time. Please see the .3mf for print setup. In short, the lamp skirt has a few additional "grey level" layers (the "PART" extension") and two layer modifiers (working within the lamp skirt layers) gives the base color as a combination of one or two colors. You will need to sand the side bars a bit more than usual before mounting (sand down the top side 0.3mm in order to compensate for the additional height of the structures, or cut it off in the slicer before printing :-). Please note, some slicers compute initial height erroneously when using 0.3mm for first layer and 0.1mm for consecutive layers. Using slic3r, I must compensate for this by changing the z-level 0.1mm during print. So be aware if the filament stops flowing at the second layer in print. The photograph was taken by myself during an Antarctic trip some years ago. And please, help saving the pengins if I may say so, by supporting Greta and the Fridays for Future! Of course, you can use any transparent (PETG) colors and get some nice prints, however, the setup was intended for the following colors: Blue, Red, Brown, Yellow, Transparent (in that order, Filament-PM have all these colors). Attention: I do not recommend their "recycled petg" as at least for me the print fails (at least for me, that is).
