Ryobi battery powered water pump

Ryobi battery powered water pump

Description

I bought a Rain Barrel and quickly realized the volume was so low it was worthless to water the garden with. So I made this case to fit a Ryobi battery and now have a cordless water pump. The pump puts out enough volume to water the garden with ease. Print in ABS, PLA will warp in the hot summer sun in minutes. There are four printed parts; the housing, 2 adapters for GHT (US garden hose thread) and an adapter to hang the pump from when not in use. What you'll need: 4 ea 10-24 x 1/2 inch length screws with thin washers and lock nuts 2 ea 4-40 screws 2 ea # 4 ring terminals 2 ea battery spring contact plate 1 ea Kink free hose adapter 1 ea R13-423 switch or any switch rated for 2A or higher Teflon tape 1 ea Pump DC50E-1250 12V water pump 90 degree with ½” fittings 6 inches 18 awg Wire (pump should include enough) Connections-Be sure to connect positive of pump to positive battery side I connected mine like this-Battery Negative to pump negative, pump positive to switch terminal, other switch terminal to battery positive. Although the pump is a 12V pump the listing stated it can run on 12V-24V. So far I only use it for short periods (30 mins or less) and its worked just fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdzBi9YEhhM
