Leifheit makes a really cool retractable clothes drying rack: https://www.amazon.com/Leifheit-83100-Telefix-Retractable-Clothes/dp/B000JG1KP4 The one problem is that the sturdy metal rods are supported with plastic that is not quite sturdy enough to handle the wet clothes and also handle the yanking and pulling as the clothes are removed. As a result, the rods tend to break off from the plastic sliders which travel in grooves on the two arms that fold out. I designed replacement parts for ALL of the plastic parts. This includes the sliding parts on both sides (they are mirror images of each other); the front sliding parts which are shorter than the others; the plastic ends that fit over the rod; and a pin to hold the rod to the slider. The original has the end ultrasonically welded, but the little pin works just great. Use a tiny bit of super glue to hold it in place. You definitely want to print this using PETG or ABS. PLA will be too brittle. I have included my Fusion 360 files for anyone who wants to improve on the design. However, I did not use parameters because the design had too many dimensions and was quite difficult to do, so I didn't have the time to enter all the parameters.
