Drill Press Heat-Insert Adapter
Description
Hi, thingy people.... This thing is in 2 parts, the other part of this is at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4440285 Had this cheap damaged, [the tightening lugs broke off] drill press stand for some time (just sat in the corner), I needed a way of drilling with my dremel and designed an adapter that fits snugly into the 43mm hole of the press with a thread in the center to take the threaded part of the dremel. I also use heated insert huts, I use a soldering-iron and realised that I could adapt the dremel plate to hold a bracket for the soldering-iron to insert a heated-nut I found it easier to fit the adapter into the plate then the plate to the drill press, screw the 'back holder' to the adapter then fit the soldering-iron with the 'front holder' The diameter of my solder iron across the handle is 19mm Extras: 6 -- heated screw inserts 3mm x 3mm x 4mm (2 for the adapter; 4 for the back holder) 6 -- m3 screws 10 to 18mm long
