Wacom Bamboo USB Connector Fix (+Stress Relief)
Description
I fixed my Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 Tablet (broken micro usb). I soldered wires from points on the board (just by looking at traces leading to the connector and using a multimeter in continuity mode) to a new connector: https://www.banggood.com/5pcs-Micro-USB-To-Dip-Female-Socket-B-Type-Microphone-5P-Patch-To-Dip-With-Soldering-Adapter-Board-p-1165556.html) Then I took a piece of thick clear plastic from an old pc LCD monitor I had laying around, and mounted the tablet on it using the parts that I'm sharing here. For the USB cable, I used this one: https://www.mouser.it/ProductDetail/bel/sc-2amk003f/?qs=r5DSvlrkXmIIA3jEWMvJjA Now the cable should not move ahah. You can also use this to avoid stress on the connector of a working tablet. EDIT: Putting the cable tie there where it's shown in the picture is was a very bad idea. It should be put on the wire, not the usb connector, otherwise it will add downward stress on the female micro usb connector. It snapped mine off over time and I had to re-solder it with hot air.
