Scaled Water Tower
Description
I split this model up into 3 sections and made modifications to connect the pieces. This allows it to be taken apart and put back together pretty easily. It is rather tall, so it is unruly to store and keep around if it is all just one piece. I added pegs and holes into the legs and tank bottom, to allow for easy connection/disconnection.I added "concrete" mounds at the legs for stability. This makes it stand on its own a lot better, and it allows the print to adhere to the base-plate easier. I split the tank into two parts and hollowed out the inside as much as I could, while still keeping it at a weight that I felt was nice. This is the only part that requires supports. You can do them wither along the top (with the tank upside down) or along the inside (with the tank right side up. I chose to do it upside down, and the patterns left over from the support added a bit of texture to the top that I like. It is a pretty awesome print with the wood filament.
