Ender 5 (Pro) Wire Organizing

Ender 5 (Pro) Wire Organizing

Description

The low point of the Ender 5 (Pro) is the wiring. It's an afterthought, at best. The goal of this system is to use the stock wires and still give them enough support, clearance and be tidy. The base is an arched support bracket (Lower Support Bracket) that positions the reel holder parallel to the side of the frame. It has wire tie blocks on the back for support and has the wires out of site. The reel support is 100mm above the lower frame rail and has lots of clearance for different spools. *** Printed here in PLA *** The X carriage wire hangs precariously and requires a lot of freedom of movement. The X Wire Support requires the X stepper be turned 90 degrees to position the connector in line with the X axis. This allows the wire to be routed so it sits parallel to the side rail and out of the way of the right side bogies. This is from the turn in the Wire Support. Two cable tie locations support the wire in the right position. Note the small hook at the aft inside clip of the support. This is for the X axis end stop wire and keeps it away from the bogie. Cable tie the wire to the existing hole in the bogie. *** Printed here in PLA *** (note: the cable now hangs in a long arch to the Support Bracket. I have many hours of printing on two 5Pro with this and have no chaffing or cable issues. It's not ideal but the long radius prevents bending fatigue on the cable.) The cable tie blocks are adapted from kilroy01's Tool Clip (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3361395) and have 40mm and 20mm versions for different locations: 2x 2040 Cable Tie Clip (40mm) for the leg (note the arrow for direction) 1x 2040 Cable Tie Clip (20mm E) for the extruder wire 1x 2040 Cable Tie Clip (20mm S) for the upper stepper wire on the inside of the leg 1x 2040 Cable Tie Clip (20mm T) for the lower table wire (captures Z stepper wire too) 2x 2040 Cable Tie Clip (40mm 1) for the upper Y and lower Z stepper wires *** I recommend printing these in a material with some flexability like PETG. I used CPE *** All suggestions and remixes are welcome. It's a far from perfect system but currently suits my needs.
