Rener (1993) Tactile cartography: another view of tactile cartographic symbols, The Cartographic Journal, 30:2, 195-198 One of the five point symbols Rener found listed in at least three studies as well readable for people with visual impairments. This shape has a rounded top surface. Use this on a tactile map to help make readable symbols for your students who are visually impaired or blind learning a route or layout.
