Ball bearing no-spindle spool holder 1kg or 3kg

Ball bearing no-spindle spool holder 1kg or 3kg

Description

There are two versions. The “Base” file holds two regular (1kg) spools. To make one small roller, print an AxleA and an AxleB and press fit them together. Four rollers are required for the “Base”. The “BaseLulz” file holds one 3kg spool (I printed two of these). To make a large 3kg roller, print one AxleA and one AxleBlulz, and press fit them together. Two rollers are required for “BaseLulz” I print the rollers with the flange down, and use supports (for the bearing area). I print the bases in the normal position and use supports for the rod holes. This results in minimal supports and they remove easily. The bearings are the ultra common skateboard bearings that are used in all kinds of maker stuff and fidget spinners: 608 bearings, 8mm ID, 22mm OD, 7mm thick. Instead of an 8mm shaft, I use 5/16” and it works perfectly. The bearings and shafts also press fit in place, but the bearings fit loosely. A small drop of superglue along the edge will hold them.
