Orleans - Insert (lids), Tokens, Resources

Description

This is my Orleans insert utilizing the BIT - Boardgame Insert Toolkit (v2.17) First, credit where credit is due! These are the items utilized and/or borrowed for this insert:

Boardgame Insert Toolkit by MysteryDough

Resources and Technology Tokens by Victorem

Parametric Token Capsules by schleprocker

I have included the v2.17 scad file of the BIT, as well as my own scad file that generated all of my inserts' STL files. Feel free to tweak as needed and post a make! Every lid will fit underneath each associated box. Each of the lids for the workers includes the number of workers to use for 2 / 3 / 4 player games. For example, the Lid of the Traders box, below the title has the text "6 / 8 / 10". So you need 6 workers in a 2 player game, 8 in a 3 player game, and 10 in a 4 player game. This should help speed up setup and not require additional consulting to the rulebook each time. The Goods box says how many random resources to remove from the game for a 2 / 3 / 4 player game. (12 / 6 / 0). I do have a few identical STL files loaded just as different names. Such as, Boatmen Box and Craftsmen Box and Traders Box. they are all identical. You can print just one of these three times. Same with Monks/Scholars/Knights. Otherwise if you just use each file uniquely, you will need to print the following:

Boxes - 1 of every Box STL file

Lids - 1 of every Lid STL file

120 Capsules:

20* for the Farmers

14 for the Monks

14 for the Scholars

14 for the Knights

14* for the Traders

14* for the Craftsmen

14* for the Boatmen

* note: these include the starting workers for each of the four players

90 Goods:

24 Grain

21 Cheese

18 Wine

15 Wool

12 Brocade

16 Technology Tiles

Note - I did mess up my own version with singular "Craftsman" and "Boatman" in the photo. However the scad file and STL files are the correct terms.

Please post your makes and let me know what you think! This is my first insert with v2.xx of BIT. I look forward to publishing many more.

I used all Hatchbox PLA for my own prints, except for the boxes. The White is AmazonBasics and the Silk Blue (light blue lids) is another company that I don't recall. For the resources specifically, I utilized the following Hatchbox Colors:

Silver

Gold

Red

Copper

Pale Green

Yellow
