Encoder wheel and photointerrupter holder for yellow dc gear motor
Description
20mm diameter, 16 slots encoder wheel to measure or control how much the motor is rotating and with what speed. The 2 photointerrupters are placed at 87 degrees so they can function in quadrature mode, giving resolution 64 counts in one rotation. Color: yellow and black work fine, I don't know about other colors but should be dark colors since the infrared light can pass through white PLA. Resistors: series with LED = 1KOhms, series with photodiode = 2.2KOhms. Works with 5V supply.
