Hotas X MOD with Airbus Detents
Description
I designed and build a desktop cockpit for the Aerosoft Airbus in FSX and had the Hotas X as my stick and throttle. It has a detent in the middle but it is nowhere near where the throttle needs to be for the Climb or Flex setting that are on the Airbus throttle. I found electromotive_force's version of the part inside the throttle that defines where the detents are and modified it for the Airbus. There are two versions here, one has the detent for FLEX and CLIMB settings, the other only has the CLIMB detent. On the former, the two detents are very close and since not everyone uses the flex setting for TO I figured I'd add the version without a detent for it. The original that is pictured took me about 2.5 hours to print at about 40 mm/s and 0.2 mm layer height. Enjoy all. EDIT: Added new center part that goes over the spring in the throttle. I found that the original piece held the detents very loosely and could easily be bumped out of place(mostly to the flex position) with a good nudge. I originally designed the one that is called "Aggressive center" and that's what I'm using, it holds positions very tightly. The one called "Medium center" should be somewhere between the aggressive one and the original part, though I haven't made one. Print in whatever orientation you like. It will need supports. end EDIT 11/23/21 added one more version of it due to a comment. They said the detents were in the wrong place for a Hotas One. I tried to understand what they needed and moved the detents 5 degrees forward, but I have no way to test. It's called Possible Hotas One detents 5deg forward.stl. Download that one at your own risk. Here is a video of me flying with the new cockpit, the ending is why I needed this MOD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKMhnMcC6ho
