Rubberband Microphone Shock Mount Stand for Scarlett Studio or similar
Description
My old microphone holder design had some problems, the load was not distributed that well, so it broke. Using this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2941 as a base, I designed this to fit with my Focusrite Scarlett Studio mic. Its diameter is 44 millimeters, so consider this if you don't have the exact same mic. How to: Print one inner ring, and one outer ring, four small legs and four big legs. The small legs go on the inner ring - they don't need glue, the microphone should hold them in place. The big legs go on the outside of the outer ring. These need to be glued, I recommend CA glue. Preferrably glue them while it's standing on the table, otherwise you may get wobbly legs. Don't want that, that kind of defeats the purpose. Next, get a bunch of rubber bands and tie them around. Don't need a specific length or anything, just make sure it's tight all around. They need to be both above and below for the best balance! There's two reasons why the legs are so tall. One, it brings the microphone closer to my face, and two, it's clearance for the cable. Never twist cables or tightly bend them. :)
