9V Battery and Switch Holder
Description
I wanted a 9V box/holder with a switch, but didn't want 1) with the dangle connectors (the wires always seem to break internally, or 2) with a small switch that I couldn't easily locate by feel if the battery was behind something. I got the 9V battery holder from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1N2MHT/ and I had these small rocker switches from a different project: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MV3PX6K Because the switch is SPDT and I only needed one to function, I ran a jumper between both sides so that either of them will work turning it into a two position SPST switch (the jumper is shown in an inset picture above). I ran the wires through (red) or out the switch hole (black) so I could solder it to the switch, ran the switch wire though the hole and then pressed the switch into place. The black holder can be connected to the box via two layers of double stick Gorilla Glue-brand clear tape, Velcro, etc (it needs to be at least 3mm thick I think), or you can use the three screw/nail holes that will allow it to be attached through the printed box to the surface. In this case, the box was installed in a 1970's Daiichi pachinko ball machine so that it would be self contained and not need a wall adapter or other battery placed elsewhere in the frame (the large 6V battery with springs seems fairly common).
