solid wire moxon

solid wire moxon

Description

The moxon antenna is a rectangular antenna resembling a two element folded yagi invented by Les Moxon (G6XN). L. B. Cebik (W4RNL) published curve fit equations for an optimized version with extremely high front to back ratio, large forward gain, and near perfect SWR. This thing includes support parts designed to help build moxons made from rigid wire (solid or hollow) and also prints the lengths of the wire segments in the OpenScad output. This could be a customizer part, but as customizer neither supports parts in multiple files nor output text, it is a poor fit. Recent versions of openscad have a customizer like interface that works well with these parts. Parts included are a spacer for the gap between driven element and reflector, and a back support to anchor the coax to the reflector so the coax can be passed through the antenna where a boom would be. If you would like to make a HF moxon using flexible wire, parts in [thing:9952](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9952) replace these.
