Loft Hatch Catch Manthorpe Attic Trap Door
Description
This is a replacement catch for a Manthorpe Building Products Drop Down Loft Access Door. This is a UK attic trap door product, that may be available elsewhere in the world. My original catch fractured (see photo) and I was unable to source a replacement part. The replacement is not exactly as per the original Manthorpe part as in the back is made solid and not recessed. However, this does not impact on the functionality and actually makes the part stronger. I also did not bother with the curved corners (purely for speed in design) and again, this has made not any difference to use. Update - July 25th, 2020 I have updated the file to include some chamfered corners on the catch end. The part images in purple show the original design.
