Another spool / filament clip. ==================== WHY ANOTHER ONE? -------------------------------- Glad you asked. My requirements are: - Stay-on (don't want clips flying around) - Fit any spool - One-handed / easy operation - Min. print time / used filament - No fiddeling with exact dimmensions / tolerances of other designs - Designed for 1.75mm. Scale for others. I think I've acheived it. JASC pinches the filament just enough so that it does not come undone or kinking it. It also "self-thightens" when wrapped and "self-loosens" (reliably) when being extruded. PRINTING -------------- I get away with 10% infill, standard print settings. YMMV Important: Print "face down / notch in the air" - you may have to rotate in your slicer Adhesion: At your discretion. I don't need any Material: PLA or your choice USAGE ----------- Insert filament on notched side. Wrap around spool at least once, clip in. Likely works best with spool in left hand, clipping in with right hand. Left-handers may want to print mirrored version for left hand operation. CAVEATS -------------- This may not work with your printer/filament setup. It requires a situation in which the sliding JASC is kept from being slid/pushed/jammed into a pully wheel or the extruder (e.g.). My filament is routed up, over pully, then down.
