Raspberry Pi B+ Case & Axis Mount for MK3(s)
Description
I wanted to add a camera to my MK3s and when I purchased the Raspberry Pi Camera Module I then realized the cable was way to short. So I remixed the X-AXIS mount from the Articulating Camera thingy (well.. from scratch, but designed similar) and came up with this. It works and it solved the purpose. Articulating Camera: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3114849 This is the 2nd attempt so the things I noticed that could be better or you should watch for are: - Ensure your cables have room to move up and down the axis and not get hung - Be mindful of the Pi SD Card. The first version I actually bent my SD card and had to reinstall - The pegs that the board sits in are weak and will likely break when your removing supports, but they are not needed. The fit is tight enough that it grips the board just be careful like I said to not push it to far down to where it puts your SD card in a bind - The weight of the Pi isn't much, but I can't tell you if it will cause your X-AXIS motor to fail sooner since it now has to tote the Pi around. It works though and use at your own risk meaning if you don't pay attention to cables, sd card and things of that nature.. I did warn you :), but with slight attention during setup you shouldn't have any issues! and should have a working solution for those short camera cables. I debated on sharing this until I could revise it, but I'm using it and it works so why not egh? Thanks!
