YAWS - Yet Another Weather Shield - Toolbox - Version 3

Description

### YAWS - Yet Another Weather Shield - Toolbox - Version 3 There are many weather caps for different sensors - both commercially and in the open source area. The number is almost unmanageable. The aim in developing the weather cap was to design the structure so that as many options as possible could be combined individually. The sensor chamber has been significantly enlarged compared to the previous version. The two conical air vents, which are also enlarged, ensure that heat generated by direct sunlight is transported upwards (a 40 mm fan can also be installed as an option). All housing parts are connected with 'self-tapping screws DIN 7981 TX stainless steel VA pan head 2.9 x 9.5 mm'. The sensor chamber can be provided with an insect screen at the top and bottom - appropriate clamping rings fix the two insect screens on the sensor chamber. The sensor holder places the sensor in the middle of the sensor chamber. The holder was designed for sensors with different connections / designs and different thicknesses of the cable feed (5 and 7 mm): 1x4 pin, 2x4 pin, 1x5 pin and 1x7 pin. The supply cable is fixed to the sensor holder using cable ties. The sensor holder itself can be removed easily from the housing by loosening a fixing screw. Particular attention was paid to the integration of the weather cap in the 'OBO-Toolbox': https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4520450 All connections of the weather caps can be combined with the OBO housings - i.e. a 'YAWS weather cap' can be attached to the OBO housings directly via its own M10 or M12 screw connector. Since the screw connectors are hollow, there is also the option of routing cables out of the OBO housing. The same scheme was chosen for external angle clamps and mast attachments (26 mm diameter). This should make it possible to attach the 'YAWS weather cap' well in different places. For the 'STALL-Weatherman' several different combinations of sensor and fastening were created - in connection with the 'OBO-Toolbox' there is a variety of assembly options. #### More details can be found here: [Github - 3D-Print YAWS (german)](https://github.com/wolwin/WW-my3DP/tree/master/3DP_YAWS)
