Twist in chain toy for small birds - low support material needed
Description
This is a toy sized for wire "Chinese breeder", "rectangle" or "finch wire" cages, names that refer to thing welded wire cages, typically manufactured in Asia. It has rounded edges, so it can work in horizontal or vertical wire and be sat on by birds without hurting little feet. The rounded edges at the base will require a little support material but the chain does not. After the print, make sure you do not have any loose filaments, as these are toe-catchers and choking hazards. I prefer to run a lighter over the print to melt away tiny threads and make sure external layers are solidly melted in place. This has worked in ABS, PETG, and PLA on a Raise3D E2 and Dremmel. I use a raft if I don't have excellent bed adherence of my filament. So for the Dremmel, not raft,for the Riase3D E2 usually a raft, unless I'm feeling dangerous.
