Slider Levers for T16 and TX16S

Slider Levers for T16 and TX16S

Description

These are replacement "levers" for the sliders on the T16 and TX16S. Not being a fan of the short stock ones when using them for pan and tilt on my FPV planes, I wanted something longer. Andrew Newton posted a design for some thicker ones that give a bit more friction by dragging in the radio's case. I started with his design and made the lever longer, and also made another one with the shape of a toggle switch on the end, so the silicon switch covers fit it for more grip. I reduced them to the original thickness so these don't drag in the case like Andrews. You can easily scale them up 1mm thicker in the Z axis if you prefer that. I also adjusted the angle of the lever to match the stock ones, I found his design was turned a little lower, and I wasn't getting full travel on one side of the slider. Calibrating worked, but still confined the range of motion to a smaller area, making them even less precise. With these longer ones, I find it easier to get finer, smoother movements on pan and tilt. Pictures are the two longer ones next to the stock ones, and the longest with silicon covers installed in my TX16S, next to the stock ones still in my T16. Big thanks to Andrew for his design, it made quick work modding it for what I wanted rather than starting from scratch! Maybe someone else will find these useful too. :) Note that they are a tight fit on the potentiometers inside the radio. Be careful removing the stocks ones, it's easy to lift the pot from it's board, and also be careful pressing the printed ones on. If they're too tight, try scaling them a bit in X and Y to get a looser fit, you may need to play around with it depending on how your printer's calibration compares with mine. ;) If you print the ones for using silicon covers, you'll need support under the "switch" end.
