Aquarium planter
Description

This planter was made for an axolotl aquarium as a cave system. It works as a planter or scaffold for aquatic or semiaquatic plants, like Elodea. Rocks are required to prevent the planter from floating up. Although PLA itself may be heavy enough (24% heavier than water), I didn't tested the planter alone. The upper plant in the photo is from the genus Bacopa, may be B. monnieri, I took it from the wild in the shore of a stream in my countryside.
The structure was designed with Solidworks 2018, and later converted to Voronoi structure with Voronator.
Update: I added an extension for those who want to add a couple of cm more of water column. This extra part must be placed below the main part, and if you print it twice, you can pile up them to gain height.
Update 2: I included also a "filled" version, more suitable to use soil, clay or mud on it.
Check my other planter designs.

I spend part of my time making these models, letting them available and free for everyone.
