DNA lei
Description
The purpose of this thing is to quickly create a lei or garland that looks like a strand of DNA. The objects consist of two pairs, each representing one of the DNA backbone strands that are connected together by arms (representing base pairs). One backbone has holes and the other has balls on sticks that go through the holes, for assembly. In addition, there are balls and sockets on the ends of the strands so that they can be strung together. You can make the DNA strand as long as you want. The print is flat and then assembles into the 3D DNA shape. There are two printing options in the OpenSCAD model; circular and linear. With circular, the backbone is printed in a circle and linear the backbone is printed in a line. The circular option will make a longer DNA strand in one print, because it can fit more length on the print bed.
