Martian 2 GoPro HERO 5/6/7 Reelsteady/Dampened 25° mount + ND filter Lenscap
Description
This is a GoPro Hero 5/6/7 mount in typical "Reelsteady" fashion, dampening high frequency vibrations but enhancing low frequency vibrations which stabilization algorithms have an easier time to deal with. Therefore, using Reelsteady/Hypersmooth is pretty much mandatory with this mount. Put the lenscap on the camera and slide it together with the camera into the mount. If it's too tight, heat it up a bit to soften the TPU. Same goes for fitting the lenscap to the gopro or inserting the TBS filter into the cap - little bit of heat helps. Also, don't try to press the filter into the cap - instead wrangle the cap around the filter. That way you're less likely to crack it. TPU is pliable, glass is not. 25 degree uptilt for the Martian 2 / Martian Anniversary frame. Original Lenscap by Nytfox aswell as a more experimental "slot" type that lets you slide the glass in from the top, incase your TPU ends up being too hard. 2.5mm hole at the bottom to push it back out. Thanks to Nytfox for the original design and v_valik for the Fusion360 files. Attached are the modified Fusion360 files, the mount part itself is a solid model, easily editable (including sketches), whereas the lenscap and gopro case are a mishmash of mesh models and surface patches. I wish people would upload the original project files in the first place so we don't have to remix meshes.
