Pendulum Board Game Player Mat Cover
Description
My version of a player mat for Pendulum. Some seem concerned the VP tokens might get bumped fairly easily if the game gets frantic. I have not had that experience. But thought I'd go ahead and make a design anyway. Please note that most print beds are not going to be able to handle printing this mat. The size is just a little too big for a standard print bed. So you will likely need to section it to print it. I have no need for these, so I will not be providing a sectioned model. If you download these files to print and enjoy them, please consider giving a tip. Designing items takes time (and filament). My PayPal is below: https://paypal.me/sethgitter?locale.x=en_US I didn't want the VP trackers to fly everywhere if the overlay got bumped. But I also didn't want to have to lift up the piece to move it. This design strikes a balance between the two. That means that if you bump this with some force, your pieces may move still up/down the track a little. But it allows for easier movement along the track during normal gameplay. For that reason, I will still recommend that you place a neoprene game mat under your player board and keep your game board to the side. I haven't printed the full model yet, but have done some prototypes to test the various components. Images of those are provided. I am selling some other game accessories on my Etsy shop at the link below. Please note that the VP tokens I sell will likely will not work with this overlay. This is because I wanted the standard tokens to be tight fit and because the tokens I print have a rougher bottom, which is not as amenable to sliding. If you want to print this overlay yourself and order my tokens, please message me through Etsy to inquire about whether I can print the tokens smaller and with a smoother base (I can do this, but may not be able to at the time). https://www.etsy.com/listing/838737166/pendulum-board-game-accessories?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=pendulum+board+game&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&organic_search_click=1&frs=1 I drew up the overlay in adobe sketchpad using a photo of the game original player boards, converted it to an .svg file, and then imported that into tinkercad. I then adjusted the holes to be more circular (they came out very oddly shaped) and have built up the mat around this initial framework. The problem I didn't realize until I got fairly far along in this project is that the player mats are 280 x 165 mm. Which is about 60 mm too large for the max build volume of my printer (Ender 5). Even set at a 45 degree angle, it just overlaps the limits of the print bed. So for most individuals, this print will require sectioning.
