Fog Machine for Tabletop Gaming
Description
I replaced my sketchy fog machine that was constructed out of 4 inch PVC pipe fittings with Wartoaster's design. However, I had issues with the ultrasonic mister splashing out of the vent. This design reduces the splashing using an internal baffle that seems to have more or less solved that issue. There's still some moisture accumulation on the play surface due to the water vapor but it builds up a bit more slowly. Like Wartoaster's design, this print uses a [40mm pc case fan](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DXRNYNX/) and the same [ultrasonic mist module.](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HSMNJCZ/) Unlike Wartoaster's design, the tank does not require supports as the vent supports itself (However, the lid _does_ require supports and should be printed upside down). The tank is also slightly larger and the baffle is designed to return splashed water to the tank. The lid is designed to slot into the top of the tank, and between the weight of the fan and cables, it is very stable. I have not put it through any performance tests but a half cup (120ml) of water generates a good amount of mist for quite a while. The "gate" for the fan is optional. The gate can be attached to the fan with M3-20 bolts and nuts and hypothetically to the lid itself with M3-25 bolts with or without nuts under the fan. If your play surface or minis are absorbent or are painted with a water-soluble paint, water vapor is still water and using a water-based fog machine may damage them.
