Ender 3 Hall-effect Endstops

Ender 3 Hall-effect Endstops

Description

Update 26.07.2020 Added versions without mounting holes. ============= Hall-effect endstops for Creality Ender 3. Used the work of a groupmate in the telegram chat and redesigned it for my needs. With these endstops I got rid of loud mechanical endstop bumps during homing. Endstop use tiny, cheap A3144 hall effect sensor. 10 kΩ pull-up resistor soldered to signal and 5v pins. After that pins are soldered to xh2.54 3Pin connector and put inside printed case. Top covered with epoxy glue for strength and to avoid short circuits Then small neodymium magnets been glued to X and Y carriages opposite the sensors. Of course you will need +5v from the mainboard. At first I wanted to fix them with a threaded insert and a countersunk bolt and designed a hole for them, but in the end I gave up on that cause the endstop goes into place with little effort and holds well in place Parts I used: Hall sensor: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32823025060.html 10K resistor: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32869854333.html xh2.54 connector: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32760531736.html Neodymium magnet: https://aliexpress.ru/item/32953346950.html Marlin cnahges: In Configuration.h define X_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING true define Y_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING true In Configuration_adv.h define X_HOME_BUMP_MM 20 define Y_HOME_BUMP_MM 20
