Lithophane Lampshade

Lithophane Lampshade

Description

I designed this lampshade for my wife as an anniversary present. I wanted one that could have the lithophanes changed out with time. I patterned it after curtains in a theatre to make it seem more like it was showing scenes from our lives. I got a lot of inspiration from this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4040185/makes I made the lithophanes by bringing photos directly into Cura and using the settings shows in the screenshot. This is designed for 4:3 aspect ratio photos what are 5mm thick max, 130mm wide, and about 194mm tall. Each of the lithophanes took about 10 hours to print and about 100 grams of filament. The base took about 20 hours to print at 0.2mm layer height and took about 200 grams of filament. The top took about 7 hours to print at 0.2mm layer height and took about 70 grams of filament. The total (successful) print time for this was 68 hours 32 minutes. This is the lamp I designed it for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VHDT7K3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am not sure if it would fit on other lamps but it would fit on any lamp post that is less than 40mm in diameter and has a top lip of 35 mm.
