Tripod Clamp for Tamron 100-400mm F4.5/-6.3 DiVC USD
Description
This is a work in progress, it's already functional. I printed it on PLA but PET and ABS will work as well. The ring doesnt close perfectly yet, but it works. My 3D modeling skills are rusty... Add nuts and bolts... and remember, PLA could bend and break in a hot sunny day, so don't leave it in the sun with your nice expensive lens :-) I added as much as 2 mm extra under the base to be able to fit most nuts, bolts, etc, Then I had to remove arround 3mm to fit a a Neweer female-female 1/4-3/8 adapter (https://www.amazon.com.mx/Neewer%C2%AE-15-Piezas-Tornillo-convertidor-Adaptador/dp/B01CORF6LY/ref=pd_bap_rp_13?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01CORF6LY&pd_rd_r=86734018-7976-49a0-94ea-4f9498bc242f&pd_rd_w=H3bSe&pd_rd_wg=WG8y9&pf_rd_p=534939a4-db9e-4479-b8e4-8147985322b1&pf_rd_r=QQ0VHNDCZBRDG2W0RKTM&psc=1&refRID=DRVJCWXDCSX6VFXZ0DP2) For the ring I used common nuts and bolts. Dont overtighten, it can crack the ring and convert it into instant trash. For the next version I want to embed the nuts and use a bolt cap, similar to these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2604272 but with threads. And I want to perfect the ring shape. Adding textile on the inside part might work to prevent the lens from getting scratched.
