Kenmore Water Softener Connection Retainer Clip
Description
I broke one of the retaining clips on my Kenmore water softener when trying to take it off, so I made this really quick to replace it. The first version is flat, and seems to work OK, but I also wanted to make a version that was close to the original (with cutouts), so I made a version 2 as well. I did 100% infill, as this is a structural part. I also chose to print with ABS for the same reason. I think PLA would work fine as well, but I didn't try it. I also printed version 2 with supports to ensure that I wouldn't have any sagging in the cutout area. I think it could be printed without supports and be just fine, but I didn't try printing it without them.
