Big 7 Segment Custom display
Description
Big custom 7 segment display made of 56 + 12 neopixels(WS2812W), driven by Raspberry Pi Zero W. It is approx. big as A4 paper(landscape). Each segment is made of 4 WS2812B leds(just split WS2812B strip to segments with 4 Leds on it). It is driven by Rpi Zero W(WiFi version) and running python3 code. I have used some level converter between Rpi and WS2812 pixels as LED strip are 5V and Rpi IO 3.3V. You can mount it on the wall(recommended), there is option to connect power cable from bottom or side of the panel. It is powered by standard Rpi PSU(5.1V, 2.5A). I have made some custom cable instead of micro usb one. Remember that one pixel can draw 60mA of current and there is 56 + 12 of them! So for powering it up just use thicker cables as well. If you will not turn all pixels ON(white color) for full brightness you do not need beefy PSU. There is HTU21D(temperature and humidity) and BH1750(light sensor) sensors and data are transmitted to MySQL DB as well, just for some Temp, humidity, lux history:) Brightness of panel is automatically adjusted by light level. Each digit is symmetrical so you can print and connect them as many you wish. I have use just two of them as i need only two digits for temperature meter. You can connect for example four digits together and create clock, etc. Prusa i3 MK3 0.2 20 infill PLA no supports
