Insektentrinkstelle 2 - an insect water station
Description
This design is intended to be an alternative to the extra safe Insektentrinkstelle 1 I designed previously. It offers a higher capacity, support for non-flying insects and a more aesthetic design. A tradeoff is the slightly decreased safety. The design is 150 mm x 150 mm if printed at 100% of size. Two versions are available: one with a ramp and one without. The inner ramp's purpose is to help small insects to escape from surface tension. Also it looks cool. Fill up with water to the upper edge. Print with a highly UV-resistant material such as ASA and a color with a high Albedo factor for best results. Print and use at own risk.
