Filtration Mask (TPU)
Description
Getting tired of washing cloth masks, I decided to design an easily printed filtration system. WARNING: Thie mask should only be printed using TPU or similar soft, strong, and elastic filaments. Rigid filaments are more likely to fracture, creating sharp and dangerous edges. While this design relies on supports for certain areas, with optimal settings and positioning, artifacts are limited to hidden areas and are minimal. Designed with 2 and 3 filtration points, the mask allows for good and better filtration and ventilation. The quality of filtration will depend on the chosen filter material inserted into the printable filter cases. I'm currently developing a simple clasp and strap to be used with this or any compatible mask or object. * Print 1 mask in TPU * * Print 1 Filter case per mask filter opening (PLA) * Print 1 inner filter Print 1 filter seal Print 1 outer filter Assembly --------------- 1.Insert inner filter cases into the circular openings of the mask from the inside. 2.Cut and wrap a 30 to 40mm square of filter material around each 'filter seal' and place inside of each inner filter. 3.Screw the outer filter onto the threaded inner filter case, through the opening in the mask. This will secure the filter material and seal the openings around the filters.
