Mesh cover for dog wound 1
Description
Protect my dog's open, inoperable, wound (approx 2" dia) from being licked, while keeping the wound exposed to the air to allow it to scab over. Center "web" or "mesh" goes over the wound, with the "paddles" (side pieces) keeping the web just above the wound (note how the inner edges of the two paddles on top of the web are slightly higher; that's the side that goes against the wound, so that only the paddles make contact with the wound), which should make it more comfortable for the dog. Bandage wraps go around the "paddles" and may cross over the web/mesh, but, the more open the web area is, the better. I secure the bandages with medical sticky wrap, but, medical tape or similar will do (avoid anything sharp, such as the pointy pieces of metal that attach to some injury wraps).
