Attachment points for a surgical mask to a helmet
Description
Here in parts of the US, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required when social distancing of 6 feet cannot be maintained. This includes on bike trails. This thing includes two parts: a closed loop and hook you can use to attach a surgical mask to a helmet. I chose to make the closed loop so that I could take the mask off while riding without the risk of losing it. Of course you could also just use two hooks for a less permanent solution. Being right handed, I installed the closed loop side on the left side so that I can attach/detach the mask on the hook side using my right hand. On the closed loop side, I cut the mask's ear strap in half and use a ziptie as a stopper to prevent it from slipping back through the loop. Looking back I probably did not need to cut it, instead just feed it through and zip tie the loop. To attach the loop and hook to the helmet, I used 3M Scotch 5952 VHB Tape.
