I used : - These two small pieces to print (tested with PLA) : one with attaching holes, the other one without - Reused clothing pegs springs - piece of 2.5 copper cable wire There are many parameters in the Freecad model, listed in an attacehd spreadsheet, to allow you customize it depending on the spring you have, the cable you use and the grip that you want.
