Description

A fully parametric 3d printable bushing based 608 sized bearing, that supports thrust loads and prints support free. This actually rotates surprisingly smoothly and can take considerable force! I tried every printable bearing model I could find and had issues with all of them, cannot support thrust force, not free spinning, too loose, reliance on small features or incredibly dependent on printer tolerances etc. This tries to fix all of these issues while requiring minimum printer precision. This is also designed to be printed support free with no bridging for maximum dimensional accuracy. The design is also full parametric, so you can adjust the values for whatever bearing you need! Customisation instructions: Adjust parameters through the Fusion 360 Change Parameters window (Modify -> Change Parameters). Change InnerDiameter, OuterDiameter and OverallThickness to match your desired bearing dimensions. The other parameters are available for fine tuning (press fits etc) Print instructions: Print with concentric patterns, not rectilinear. If your printer elephant foots too much than print with rafts. Parts are chamfered at the bottom to minimise elephant footing. Assembly: Print 1 of each part! (OuterBottom and OuterTop are identical) 1. Inner, large face down 2. OuterBottom 3. OuterTop, 4. Press fit Ring onto top of Inner. Can glue for additional strength. 5. Press fit Shell on the outside. Can glue for additional strength. Can oil or lubricate the internals to increase smoothness. If using with thrust loads the load should be applied to the non-Ring face.
