LED strip mount for Fluval Flex 37
Description
The LED strip in my Fluval Flex 37 burned out, and I wanted a bit more light than the stock config - there are two versions of the holder, one for standard LED strip and one for IP67 silicone sleeved LEDs. I ordered 144 LED/m 2812/5050 RGB LEDs to give it some extra light - you should be able to fit between 55 and 100 LEDs (if you also use the stock tube), vs 36 for the stock config. If you use the standard, unsleeved version, use the 12mm channel and you'll need to waterproof either with an acrylic cover or using epoxy to seal them in (not sure about the heat from the LEDs though. For the silicone-sleeved LEDs, print two end caps and slot them under the holder on each end. You could print a third one for the middle for extra support, but I don't think it's necessary. I'm driving with an arduino nano (using the NEOPIXEL library for 2812 LEDs) that receives input from a Raspberry Pi with 16x2 LCD shield to change scenes and schedule the lights.
