Tundra landinggear strut covers

Tundra landinggear strut covers

Description

The one thing I never liked about the HK durafly Tundra are the flimsy landing gear wires. After looking at another bushplane (the Freedom fox from Flite test), I decided that the Tundra needed some "landinggear strut covers"as well. So here you go. There are 2 types: the "M" covers are for the standard big Tundra wheels (as shown on the Green Teddy the tundra on the pics), and the "A" type are for if you have smaller wheels installed. (as shown on the Orange Turbo Tundra)The "A" type sits a little more forward on the wires as it looks aesthetically better this way with smaller wheels only. The files are just one cover for each type, for best results duplicate the one you want and flip it over in your slicing software app so you get a left and right and you have the nicer smooth side of the final printed thingy on top of both sides when you install the covers. You only need 6 of the smallest tieraps you can find (2mm wide). If there are none to be found in your area, you can of course always make the holes longer to fit larger tieraps... About the Orange Turbo Tundra: it has the prop from the FMS Pilatus PC-21, uses 4S lipos and you definately want a 60A speed control because it pulls over 60A static thrust!!! (it unloads during flight but stays way over 40A (approaches 60 regularly), so be careful when using the standard 40A ESC. It has endless power for torque and top speed, a lot of fun!
