smart effector cooling for mosquito hotend
Description
VERSION 2 now available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4769217/files This solution allows for strong and lightweight cooling: Inspired by Berd-Air, fresh (cold) air is pumped to the "bracket" that mounts to the smart effector. There the air stream is split into two brass tubes which direct the air into the "nozzle". The minimal design reduces inertia of the print head and in case of a crash, only a single part (which doesn't require cooling to be printed) needs to be replaced. I use 2.5mm(od) brass tubing, cut down to a length of 46mm. A rubber band is used to keep tension. Because of this, no glue is needed for assembly, keep in mind though that some air might creep part the tubes. If you print the "bracket" without cooling, make sure to drill out the hole on the inlet to prevent excessive air-resistance. The connector on top of the "bracket" is designed to fit 6mm ID rubber tubing I also suggest to print the nozzle from ABS or another "temperature resistant" material
