Roller Hold-Down
Description
This is a roller hold-down used to help cut small or thin parts. The hold-down consists of two main assemblies. The first assembly is a slotted runner and a stop block that rests in the miter gauge slot. It's connected to an adjustable arm by a bolt, washer and wing nut. The bolt head sits in a tapered recess in the runner. As the wing nut is tightened, it pulls the head into the runner. The slot cut in the runner allows it to expand in the miter gauge slot and clamp it in place. The stop block is designed for the T miter gauge slot of a DeWalt DWE7491RS table saw. The adjustable arm has two wheels mounted on one end that ride against the workpiece and hold it against the fence. Note: This hold-down won't prevent kickback like a feather-board. In addition to the printed pieces, you'll also need three 1/4x1-1/4" washers, two 1/4x1" washers, 1/4x4" hex head bolt, 1/4x2" hex head bolt and 1/4" lock nut. I printed this on a Prusa Mini so the upper assembly had to be printed in two parts. I've included files for printing the upper assembly as one or two parts.
