Simple Spool Roller for Snapmaker 2.0

Simple Spool Roller for Snapmaker 2.0

Description

Simple similar to many others roller accessory to improve the ability of a spool to roll smoothly on a holder arm without too much 'friction' tugging against your extruder gear. Print 4 of the spheres, 1 of the, um, assembler. You will need to source your own metal rod stock for the 'axles'. The central hole is sized for the Snapmaker 2.0 reel support arm. The spacing of the spheres is such that this fits the PLA reel I got with the SM2, and appears to fit the PETG spool I got from them too (just eyeballing them side by side, haven't tried yet). I am using it with the Enclosure on a SM2.0 A250 (middle size of the 3 models). May not be as necessary on the Snapmaker 2.0 type system, with the print head only moving in X and Z, not Y (the table does that). But with the added enclosure and the grommet thru the side panel providing another friction and choke point, I feel much more comfortable leaving prints unattended with this added. Sphere orientation should be obvious, that's why they have flats. The main piece prints fine without support just laying down with the H on the surface of the build plane. The 3D file isn't perfect, was intended for some stock 0.125in (1/8) dia rod I had laying around but I oversized the 'thru' hole and depression just a bit but gel type superglue affixed them just fine (don't let it get between your rod and spheres!). I'll upload an "installed" picture without the spool in the way when I can find a moment that I'm not printing so I'm not actively using it.
