EOS M T-Ring Adapter

EOS M T-Ring Adapter

Description

The EOS M T-Ring Adapter was created for the EOS M100 and proportionate M series cameras. Inspired by Canyonazo's T-ring, this adapter has been sized down and recreated to at more correct dimensions. A small amount of threading was added to support the attachment of telescope filters to the inside of the T-ring eyepiece shaft. The filter threads are very fine, but the result is good enough to securely hold filters in place. The adapter was designed to fit the standard 1.25 inch eyepiece opening. Canyonazo's was about 8mm too wide and the eyepiece shaft was thicker, with no room for filters. Randomly sizing down his design made no sense, so after a few measurements and a little modeling, here we are. Update: Version 2: Contours added for better grip and positioning in throat of eyepiece. ---- Version 3 has been shortened to position the camera sensor closer to the eyepiece opening, allowing for a bit more focus via the telescope. The treading has been refined to improve compatibility with filters and other threaded components. Additional Adapter with external threading: ------------------------- Version 1 of a variant with the threading on the outside of the adapter has been provided, for compatible elements. I use this to affix the end of a telescoping eyepiece to the camera, before insertion into the telescope, allowing for additional/experimental focal control.
