Laptop Monitor Housing
Description
I finally got my daughter a new laptop, which means that the one I was keeping for parts, and hers were mine to tinker with! I cut the hinges on one, flipped the monitor over the back (like a Lenovo Yoga, but not as graceful) and now it's an all in one. But the other....I've been waiting YEARS to take an old laptop, rip it's screen out, and turn it into a monitor. i finally got to do it. I did my research and bought one of these: HDMI DVI VGA Audio LCD Controller Board For 15.6" B156XW02 LP156WH2 1366X768 LCD I'm not giving a link because I bought it on ebay, and it won't be there for ever. It is just a naked circuit board--actually two, one for the main board, and one for the buttons. So I built these two "boxes". One holds the main board and the other holds the control buttons. I've included the Fusion 360 file, but if you do look at it, you have to promise not to laugh at it. I'm not a great designer. It does the job, but I'm sure I could have been more graceful while I was doing it. This is a very niche thing, I know. I thought maybe it would help someone out sometime.
