Venta LB12 coupler
Description
The coupler between the fan and the gear to drive the rotating washer discs is made of something like silicon rubber, and is nearly impossible to repair and glue once worn out. A spare part isn't available. I designed the elipsoid part in a way to have a sturdy part to transfer the torque and still the right amount of springiness along the axis. The part that goes into the gear and the elipsoid middle part are one piece, while the part that goes into the fan is separate. This is done so the whole thing can be printed without supports. The separate part has to be fitted into the suiting hexagon hole in the spring part, and therefore is designed slightly conical. My make of the part didn't need glueing. The actual modelling was done in OpenSCAD, slicing with PrusaSlicer.
