Voyager "Endgame" Tricorder Kit
Description
Here is the tricorder from the Star Trek Voyager episode "Endgame." Was a labor of love to make and now I'm happy to share it with you all. There are solid and hollow versions if you prefer electronics or not, attachable sensor arm, and medical or science graphics. Also includes a display stand. The body and door can probably be printed in other orientations depending on preference. Use supports for the body, door, hinges, scanner arm, and sensor tube (if printed upright.) The two parts with 'window' in the filename are optional. They are supposed to cover the small LED holes but being so small they can be skipped. 9/28/20 added the scanner arm and the body with a hole for it. 10/5/20 Finally printed this out, and wow the tolerances are unforgiving. Upside is a lot of the small parts press fit but you might have to file some edges a bit to fit. The hinges' holes for the filament is tight and I had to use a pliers to work it in. Its important to straighten the filament first. The sensor teeth and boxes used color swap (pause and change filament.) 10/27/20 Added a display stand. 11/28/20 Finally added hollowed-out versions for electronics. I wasn't sure how much clearance was needed so if it's too tight let me know. Also added the graphics for the medical variant. Since I don't have any electronics to work from, I wasn't sure where exactly to put the lights on the main screen. It shouldn't be hard to customize the graphics if you need to. Mainly printed in CC3D silver PETG using a .25mm nozzle.
