Modular Logo Strap (With optional storage)
Description
After designing several individual Strap Logos I wanted to make a modular insert system so that you can just pop the logos in and out of with ease without having to take it off your backpack, purse or lanyard. This is my result, designed this in tinkercad. All the current inserts can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/rkxone/collections/modular-logo-inserts I have created an holder to help store the inserts here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4621386 October-16-2020: I have created a phone dock that workes with the logo inserts now: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4625553 The base will accommodate thin straps (A backpack version is also being worked on) Inserts will be put out regularly, and it's a fairly quick print at .30. No supports are needed. This design also creates a small storage container you could put survival bits into (fishing line, hooks, water tablets etc) this has not been tested for waterproofness and I doubt as is it would be watertight but you never know, add a gasket and you should be good to go. There are 4 Variants - Solid - Solid attachment loops for removable straps - Split - Split attachment loops for non removable straps - Supermodular Bolted - 2x12mm M3 nuts and bolts to allow interchanging of the Bases. There are 3 heights included with each variant 13mm for just the modular logo system and 26mm for some minor storage 40mm for more room for whatever :) Other Includes: - Spinner top - this cap is longer and allows the inserts to rotate when closed - Solid Cap to use just as a storage compartment - Plain 13mm No loops, just a small carrying case that supports the logo inserts You can store candy in these to have on hikes or glasses microfiber cloths, lots of little uses for these, but the big benefit is being able to change it's look easily, inserts are designed to fit in the recesses nicely and only take about 40 minutes to print at .3/80mm. The Design also allows you to use custom straps (elastic, velcro etc) and buckles to attach this to your wrist, around your upper arm, to your belt or even to a hard mount point somewhere,. Hopefully others will get some good use out of this, if you make this i would love to see it, this is my first ground up design and I've spent the day creating and prototyping this to make sure everything works well.
