Tronxy x5sa-400 Z Axis Alignment
Description
These parts can be used to align the Z axis, as it's terribly hard to get 4 rods and 2 leadscrews in perfect alignment. This is derived from my 3 z stepper motor design, but it can also be used to align a stock 2 z stepper motor printer. 4 M3x40 flat head screws Assorted M4x8 and M4x12 screws and washers When mounting the stepper, remove ONLY TWO of the motor screws, if you disassemble the stepper motor, you can demagnetize it and lose torque. Then use the 2 M3x40 screws to go through the mount and the motor. The stock screws used for the stock mount are not long enough to be used. Assembly is a bit of a pain, I clamped a piece of 1x4 (trim lumber) to the frame to hold up the bed, and detached the piece of the bed frame that the leadscrews and the rod go through. The assembly needs to go in all at once, and washers should go on both ends of the 8mm rods (there is a pocket for them). This went in perfectly, and I measured 101.10mm at both the top and the bottom between the 8mm rod and the side extrusion. That's far better than I had expected Freecad source provided.
